Accomplishments
May 1, 2010
- TVHOC has reached over 9000 Tri-Valley residents, through financial and homebuyer literature and information regarding below market rate housing opportunities, down payment assistance and preserving protecting their investment;
- Over 1200 Tri-Valley households have successfully completed the TVHOC Homeownership Pathway and are homebuyer ready;
- 265 low to moderate income tax filers took advantage of the free tax assistance service Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA), and where over $160,000 has been returned into the community;
- Since inception in September of 2005, the TVHOC has assisted 147 households to successfully become homeowners;
- TVHOC successful homebuyers have not experienced any mortgage defaults or delinquencies, which is a testament that education and counseling does result in positive homebuyer experiences and knowledgeable homeowners
